MARDI GRAS MADNESS
The New Orleans Mardi Gras Season has always been a favorite time of the year for me. I love the beautiful floats, the marching band competition, the marching and dancing clubs, and of course the “throws” tossed to the crowds. I have gotten to the point where I seldom view parades from the curbside any more. I try to buy grandstand tickets so I can watch in relative comfort without being jostled by viewers scrambling for those trinkets.
Quite a few years ago, while relaxing listening to the mayor’s stand DJ spin recordings for the crowd to sing along with or street dance to, I got the feeling that someone was staring at me. I looked across the street and my eyes fell upon this bronze beauty wearing beautifully braided hair. Now neat braids are a weakness for me and I grew a broad smile as our eyed locked. She did a cute wave to me which confirmed she was the source of that feeling. I signaled for her to stand up and she did so with her hand over her mouth. To call her shapely was understatement. Her perky breasts, pierced navel with a jewel charm accentuating her flat stomach and her very tight jeans got my applause.
The first parade passed and between floats I long distance flirted with her licking my lips, blowing kisses, and making her blush and smile across the street. When it had passed, I got out of the stands and asked the security person for a ticket to get back into the section and I walked down the street to the food trucks to buy me a snack. To my surprise she came up behind me and asked if I was going to get her some refreshments too. She introduced herself as Shawn. I ordered my Polish sausage and fried onions on bun, a large fountain drink and a bag of peanuts, and she said to get her the same. Then we were holding a lot of stuff with a crowd to walk through. I told her to follow me and I would clear a path but she suggested that we go to her hotel a couple of blocks away to enjoy our snack in quiet comfort while we got to know one another.
