Paying my saviour

It was my first job after college when Corona stike. I lost job after a month due to lockdown. I had no money nor a shelter. An old man who was my senoir at office caught me crying and offered me his place to stay till lockdown is over n get another job. He was a nice old guy whose wife had died a few years ago and his children lived abroad. I moved to his place. He said i can stay there and shre food with him. I said i cant pay n i dont know for how long. He said not to worry.i stayd there. His flat was well kept and most of rooms were kept same as years before his wife left them. As we both had no work all day we engaged in whatever work we found at home. He mostly spent time reading books and watching tv. I spent my time searching job online on his computer. He liked to prepare food also. I often felt guilty that i am burden on him at this tiring times.i also had very few dresses wid me due to sudden loss of job. Most of my clothes were wornout. He noticed and showed me his late wife's wardrobe and told me feel free to use any if his wife's clothes if needed. I declined out of guilt.i noticed he is a lonely man and often used to see his late wife's photo album.one day he was very happy and was preparing cke, i asked him whats the ocvassion. He told today is his marriage anniversary and he is missing his wife so prepared her favourite lunch and cake. I was so touched. It was a wonderfull lunch.for unknown reasons he didnt cut the cke and retired to his study and started drinking there.. I felt that he is very sad so i decided i will do something to get him over this sadness. So i went to bedroom nd opened the wardrobe. I found his wife's marrige dress well kept and also jewellery there. I got an idea. I quivkey cleaned the kitchen and decorated the flat especially the bedroom and bed. I wore makeup and his wife's marrige dress.and sat on tbe bed as a newly bride.Played old romntic song also.Hearing which he came out of study and observed the home. He was confused then when he came to bedroom and turned the lights On.
