I cannot forget what happened to make me leave you, just as you cannot forget what I have done since. The best we can do is to forget it matters. You made me what I am today, in every sense. In so doing, you made us stronger; perhaps strong enough to survive this little blip on the radar screen. I still wear my ring, and proudly. As a very smart cookie once pointed out to me, "this is forever." My greatest mistake, and regret, is not taking her at her word. If we give it some time, perhaps we can fix even that.
